PRVPHXCY: The Man Behind The Lyrics

Ervin Woodson, commonly known as “PRVPHXCY” or “Diego”, was born June 19th, 1991 in Osceola, AR. He spent most of his childhood in Osceola and his senior year of high school he moved to Blytheville, AR, where he graduated high school with a GPA OF 3.7 in 2009.

Shortly after high school Prophecy decided he didn’t want to live the everyday struggles
he seen and lived through during his childhood, so he joined United States Army in hopes of a better life. His experiences in the army were “bittersweet,” Prophecy
mentioned in his most recent interview. He said, “I learned a lot while I was in the army,
but I seen a lot too and some of the things I seen, I’ll never forget.” On his second tour
in Afghanistan Prophecy was drastically injured in a IED bombing. After honorably
serving 5 years, Prophecy decided he wanted to focus more on his dreams; writing and
creating music.
Prophecy has been writing and creating music since his childhood. “I grew up in a bad neighborhood, a neighborhood where hearing someone got killed, or seeing folks sell drugs wasn’t anything uncommon. My music was my escape from reality, my way to
cope and aim for something better.” He left for the army at just 19 years old and
decided after 5 years it was time to refocus on his love for music.
June 28th,2016, Prophecy started following his dreams and began making music again. “I took that time off while in the military to really focus on my wordplay and making songs the greatest they can be, my fans keep my dreams alive.” He released his first mixtape, “Redefined,” July 8th
, 2016 and shortly followed with his second mixtape, “ Lions, Tigers, & Bears,” July 23rd, 2016. His mixtape “Iconically Psychotic,” was released August 24th, 2016 and on October 23rd, 2016 he released “Lyricism Uncut,” in honor of his daughters 6th birthday. But his most prestigious work thus far was his most recent mixtape, “The Hustle Chronicles,” which was released September 11th, 2016 in dedication to all those who have served our country. On November 24th, 2016 Prophecy received distribution deal through Bentley Records, which in his words, “is the start of
something historic.”
Prophecy just released his single, “Flexin,” and is anticipating his release of “Notorious
Makaveli,” January 1st, 2017. “This is only a taste of what 2017 will bring, and can only hope my fans are as excited as I am. I am blessed and I know I have a gift, but without the love of my fans and my family I couldn’t have made it this far.” Prophecy hasn’t released any new details as to what lies after Notorious Makaveli but we can only anticipate and project it will be anything less than legendary.
